One of the elements of the ICAO Balanced Approach to Aircraft Noise Management is the noise reduction at source. Source noise control for fixed-wing aircraft is fundamentally different from designing noise solutions for rotorcraft. We can support you in both.
For both fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft we can deploy our measurement and/or prediction tools to establish which sources are the dominant contributors to the noise received on the ground and hence focus the noise reduction efforts.
For rotorcraft our in-house Helicopter Noise Tool Chain (SARA) and its state-of-the-art modules can be used to design optimum noise solutions for the main and tail rotor and for the engine. If needed a multi-disciplinary design optimization (i.e. beyond only noise control) can be conducted with our specialized rotorcraft technology partners.
