ANIMA is an EU H2020 sponsored R&D project, aiming to develop new methodologies and tools to manage and mitigate the impact of aviation noise, improving the quality of life near airports while facilitating airports growth and competitiveness of the EU aviation sector within the environmental limits. ANIMA will address both acoustical and non-acoustical factors that contribute to the annoyance. Anotec’s main role in the project is to integrate its aviation noise and emissions prediction models in a platform accessible to relevant stakeholders. This platform will then be used to support a variety of other tasks in the project like investigating the effect of land use planning, the impact of novel concept aircraft and the definition of research roadmaps by identifiying the main contributors to the noise impact of aviation on the future, also taking into account interdependencies with emissions.
